Undergraduate School:

Cornell University

Medical School:

Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine at Hofstra University

When did you become involved in LMSA? What encouraged you to be a part of LMSA?

I became part of LMSA last fall. I liked the idea of being able to work with other people who want to help provide a voice for underrepresented medical students. Another factor that encouraged me to be a part of LMSA was that it gives me opportunities to help advocate for Latinos in the medical community.

What do you expect to accomplish this year in your position?

As co-conference chair, I’m hoping to help plan a successful national conference for LMSA at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine!

Career goals?

Based off of the experiences I’ve had so far, I am interested in Emergency Medicine. That being said, I am definitely keeping an open mind about what I will end up specializing in.

Hobbies:

During medical school I’ve gotten involved in indoor rock climbing, which is now one of my favorite things to do. When I have the chance, I also love to travel.
